1981 - Gulf Dynamic Switchgear was formed by a group of European companies and a local partnership, manufacturing low voltage switchgear in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. 1986 - GDS received as the first local Switchgear company ASTA - Certification for its Main and Submain Distribution boards. 1987 - MARBU Contracting Est. was appointed as GDS agent in Doha, Qatar 1993 - In collaboration with MCC TECHNIQUE - U.K. Gulf Dynamic Switchgear started supplying FORM-4 panels for prestigious projects. 1992 - First package unit consisting of 11kV isolator switch, 1600KVA Dry Type Transformer and Main L.V. panel (FORM-4) connected directly to transformer supplied. Substation is located on the rooftop of the building. 1994 - Branch office was opened in Abu Dhabi. 1994 - GDS starts marketing decorative lighting systems from Swarovski - Austria. 1995 - Gulf Dynamic Switchgear became a limited liability company and the name changed to Gulf Dynamic Switchgear Co. Ltd. 1996 - Due to continued growth the need for bigger office and factory space arose and GDS moved to new modern premises. 1997 - GDS was awarded the ISO 9001, Quality Assurance Certificate by IQ-NET 1999 - Branch office was opened in Dubai.
